HPR Update & Crazy Hair Day!

Our Human Powered Racing team are edging closer to their big race at the Energy Breakthrough challenge in November. 

This past weekend, members of our HPR team made their way down to Sandown International Motor Raceway to watch one of the races that teams can take part in as a warmup to our November race. It was fantastic to see primary school, secondary school and university teams all taking part in the race. As a group we gained fantastic insight into watching how these teams prepare and race their Human Powered Vehicles.

If you haven't seen our team in action, keep your eyes peeled each Thursday afternoon as they train on the back oval after school.

As part of our fundraising for our equipment, the HPR team are holding a Crazy Hair Day on Thursday 3rd August. Students are encouraged come to school silly/wacky/zany hairstyle and bring a gold coin donation for our HPR team. We will also be holding a bake sale, sausage sizzle and raffle on the day, so it will be great to see our team creating an exciting day for the students at MPS. We are still looking to create a connection to local businesses. This allows us to help promote our local businesses whilst also raise valuable funds to help us participate in the race in November.
