Principal Team's Report

'Creating Futures Together'

This term has flown by so quickly and, as with each term, so much has happened.

In addition to everything the student’s have been doing in their classes, there have been excursions too numerous to mention. Ranging from a STEM trip to the Avalon Airshow, students attending a Nursing Industry Immersion day where they got to triage patients and analyse blood samples, Road Safety experience for our Year 11s and visits to Vic Market. It is always wonderful to see our students applying their learning in the real world.

We have had guest presenters across all Year Levels, with topics such as the law, mindfulness and wellbeing and sports events for all levels from visits to mini-golf to interschool competition.

Reconciliation Week

We acknowledged and celebrated Reconciliation Week with a number of in-class activities based around indigenous culture and ceremonies such as a flag raising in acknowledgement of country. We would like to thank Ms. Badoche for all the hard work she did in organizing this event.

GAT Congratulations

Congratulations to all our students doing a Year 12 subject who completed the GAT last Thursday.

Staffing

While we are looking forward to a well-earned break, with this break comes some pretty significant changes in roles across the College.

Ms. Brisbane is taking a well-earned break during July and Ms. Anderson will be the Acting Principal for this period. She will be supported by Ms. Soto as acting Assistant Principal for this month.

Mr. Dixon will be on leave for the remainder of the year, replaced by Mr. Woods who will be the acting Assistant Principal for Terms 3 & 4. Mr. Shepherd will continue in his role as Middle School Leader.

Semester 1 Reports

Finally, a reminder to all our community that the Semester 1 Reports will be available on Compass on Friday 23 June. We encourage all families to read and reflect on the information contained in the reports.

We wish everyone a relaxing and safe holiday break and look forward to seeing you all again in Term 3.

Mr. Dixon

on behalf of the Principal Team.
