Term 1 - No Hat, No Play

A reminder that in Terms 1 and 4 we have our No Hat, No Play policy. Please ensure that your child has a hat for outside play. Wide brim hats are available for purchase from the front office for $15 if you would like to purchase one. Payment is accepted via QKR! and we will call your child to the office to collect their hat.

Parent / Teacher Meet 'n' Greet

We invite you to attend our Parent / Teacher Meet 'n' Greet Webex sessions to have a discussion with your Grade Teacher and Specialists (Years 3-6) about your child. These sessions will be held on Tuesday, February 22nd and Wednesday, February 23rd from 3:40 to 6:00 pm.  Sessions are strictly 10 minutes duration. Your teacher will email you the link to their Webex Personal Room details.  Please be available a few minutes before your time slot - the teacher will place you in the 'waiting room' and allow you in at the designated time. If you have any problems booking a time, please contact your classroom teacher or the front office on 9481 5860.  The bookings for these sessions are now open and bookings can be made through Compass.

Volunteers are welcome back

We are pleased to announce that volunteers are welcome back at school. If you have some time to come in and help in the classroom, please email your child's teacher directly with your availability so they can be in contact if they need you.

Reminder - Food Sharing

We would like to remind our families that food sharing is not permitted at our school. We have a large number of students with allergies and anaphylaxis and, therefore, we ask parents to remind their children of this requirement.

Student Accident Insurance

Parents are reminded that the Department does not provide personal accident insurance for students. Parents and guardians are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including any transportation costs. These costs may be recoverable where injury is caused by the negligence (carelessness) of the Department, a school councillor, or their employees or volunteers.

Student accident insurance policies are available from some commercial insurers. These cover a range of medical expenses not covered by Medicare or private health insurance.

Personal Property Insurance

Personal property is often brought to school by students, staff and visitors. This can include mobile phones, calculators, toys and sporting equipment. The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development does not hold insurance for personal property brought to schools and it has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property. Students are discouraged from bringing any unnecessary or particularly valuable items to school.
