RUGBY LEAGUE @ STAUGHTON 2022

This year we have a number of boys in the Under 18, Under 16 and Under 14 interim squads nominated for the upcoming fixtures. We are focusing our efforts on the Under 16 and Under 18 squads Western Region 9’s Qualifier competition and the Under 14 Schoolboy Trophy Gala Day in May.

The COVID-19 pandemic has heavily affected the Staughton College Rugby League program however the school is committed to having our rugby league talent being showcased and tested against other school teams.

Our squads will begin a training schedule designed to build combinations, skill development, tactical preparation and match simulation. As well, a number of students who are completing vocational education and training qualifications in sport and recreation and allied health have been recruited to assist the teams during the year. This will provide them with real work experiences that supports their learning and enables theory to be put into practice.
