Y9 drama book read

As part of the Year 9 Drama student’s exploration of vocal performance work, students chose and performed a series of children’s books to the Grade 1 and 2 class. It was amazing to see the collaboration between the Junior and Senior school, with both groups of students thoroughly enjoying the experience.

A special thank you to Ms. Meg Cole and Ms. Rebecca Sinclair for their support throughout the process.

Yea 10 coffee class

The Year 10s have been taking part in a coffee masterclass over the last few weeks and got to learn how to make the perfect brew! Lots of practice and patience - and quite a few lattes were enjoyed as the class learned techniques and safe practices as young baristas.

Studio Arts Excursion

On Monday our VCE Studio Arts Units 1-4 students enjoyed a trip into Melbourne to immerse themselves in the galleries and view a multitude of exhibitions and creative spaces. We started with the Top Arts 2022 exhibition at the NGV Ian Potter, viewing the best works and folios from 2021 students. Then viewing 3 other levels of Australian historic and contemporary artworks.

After a very quick lunch we walked to the NGV International. So many wonderful exhibitions and collection works to experience, from Bark Ladies, Chanel, Queer Stories from the NGV Collection, Golden Shells and the NGV Architecture Commission “Pink Lake”

A wonderful experience for all and now we write and document all that we have seen, as inspiration for our own works.

Easter Assembly

On Tuesday 29 March we held an Easter Assembly in the PAC, it was a wonderful opportunity to hear Mr Simon Jenkin and a few students share their thoughts on the meaning of Easter. The theme was on gratitude, and many events and highlights from Term 1 were mentioned as we reflected on the incredible year so far. Thank you to Lily, Victoria, Penny and Michael for sharing some of their fun Easter traditions and stories with everyone.

Bienvenue au Café HT

On Thursday 31 March the Year 8 French classes enjoyed 'Café HT', and enjoyed a delicious French breakfast. Chocolate croissants, baguettes, hot chocolate and more!

Year 11 Vis Com

Some wonderful designs from the Year 11 cohort, producing a computer mouse design inspired by elements from the natural world. This is referred to as the Tiny Mouse Project.

Well done to Nicholas, Shyam, Spencer and Vincent!

Food Tech

The Year 9 food tech class have learned how to cook with yeast by designing and creating focaccia art. Here are some photos of the focaccia’s and some of the kids working.

A couple of our classes have made some seasonally appropriate “hot cross bruffins” – a cross between a muffin and hot cross bun. The recipe is pictured in case anyone wants to try them out at home for Easter! It’s a great faster alternative to hot cross buns and simple to whip up.
