Sports Update 

SAPSASA Year 6 and 7 Netball 

Both of our SAPSASA Year 6 and 7 netball girls teams won their first round of knockout competitions against 2 other schools.

On Monday 9th August, the Year 6/7 team faced other teams who had made it through to the 2nd round, Walkerville Primary School, Loreto and Concordia College.

In the first game our team came up just short, putting in a stellar effort. They were down by 9 goals in the first quarter and fought back to come within 3 goals of Walkerville.  Loreto and Concordia College proved to be tougher competition with convincing wins against Magill. The girls were extremely competitive throughout each game, showing terrific commitment and great team spirit. 

On Friday 13th August our Year 6 girls played against Linden Park Primary School and St Joseph's at Hindmarsh. The girls had a tough game against Linden Park and found their strides in the second half of the game to win 32-21. Magill were strong throughout the game against St Joseph's and worked as a cohesive unit to win 42-11.  

Well done and good luck to our Year 6 team who are now through to the final round at Priceline Stadium. This is the furthest our Magill netballers have progressed in the SAPSASA knockout Netball competition in recent memory.
