Humanities Week

What a great Humanities Week, enjoyed by students and staff across many different subjects. Many students also really got into the sustainability challenge with lots of incredible creations being made and goals set. There were students who pledged to go vegetarian for the week, some who built veggie patches with their parents, lots of home recycling and compost systems up and running and even just daily walks with a side of rubbish collection.
During humanities week Mr Minster challenged his Wood Technology classes to create a project made from recycled materials. These are pictures of James and Harrison in year 10 who both created a bird feeder.

Harrison created this using an old chopping board, old broom handle, scraps from dad's garage, an old chain, pot plant water plate and some left over paint. He even had dad teach him how to use some power tools to make the project.

Humanities week challenges saw some High Achievers, who should be very proud of their efforts to achieve their personal best in remote learning. These students will each receive a prize, upon their return to school. Well Done...
