CITRUS GLUT

At this time of year, I always find there is excess citrus around, I’ve had several people offer me lots of lemons, oranges and limes. I thought I’d give you a few ideas to try with your citrus haul.

  • Marmalade
  • Lemon Butter (use the same recipe below to make a lime or blood orange curd as well.
  • Preserved Lemons
  • Dried lemons and Oranges for garnish on cakes and drinks. These also make great Christmas tree decorations.
  • Lemonade or lemon cordial

  • 3 large eggs
  • 113.4 g salted butter

  1. Combine fresh lemon juice with sugar, eggs and egg yolks.
  2. Stir until everything's smooth and a sunshiny yellow.
