Recharge Day - 25th August

We can appreciate that lockdowns are exhausting and stressful.  It is very challenging when restrictions continue to change around us.  With this in mind, we wanted to design something where students could have a break from online learning.  Recharge Day was designed for students to get away from the computer and to reconnect to their surroundings, their passions, and their friends and family.

Students from Years 7-10 spent the day working on various challenges and activities, in order to earn House Cup Points.  The activities ranged from photography, cooking, writing, drawing, learning new skills, and expressing gratitude towards others.  Each task earned students House Points.

At the end of the day, Acacia was the overall winner with 1210 points, followed by Waratah with 800.  Banksia was third with 730, and fourth was Grevillea with 220.

The Mentor Groups that earned the most points for their Houses were:

Acacia 7 with 275

Acacia 4 with 260

Banksia 4 with 255.

Thank you to all the Mentor Teachers, staff, and students who participated in this special day.  We hope to see you all on-site in Term 4!

Remote Learning Awards

The Student Services Team would like to recognise students and staff who have shown great resilience and perseverance during the latest period of remote learning. All staff members were asked to nominate students and staff who they felt provided consistent support, motivation, and enthusiasm to their peers.  The winners will be celebrated in a special remote House Assembly on Friday 17 September, and celebrated again when we return to on-site learning.  Each winner will receive House Points and a prize upon returning to school. The Student Services Team would like to express our deepest thanks to the entire school community for offering an incredible amount of support and resilience over the term.  We look forward to seeing everyone in person again very soon, and hope that you enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday break.
