Issue 2

Dear Parents & Carers,
What an interesting start to the school year! It is to be expected that we may experience more ‘Snap Lockdowns’ throughout the year as we navigate and manage Covid. We have discussed the ‘Choice Boards’ with the students in class and what they enjoyed or found challenging. We also welcome your feedback in regards to this, in the event we find ourselves in the same position in future.
Please add your comments to the padlet CHOICE BOARD REFLECTION COMMENTS responding to the following questions:
“Did you find the tasks beneficial / helpful for your child?”
“Did the tasks enable your child to work independently?”
“What would you like home learning tasks to consist of in the future, in order to support your child with their learning?”
Our students responses to the ‘Choice Boards’:
- They enjoyed undertaking the activities
- They could choose the activities and when they wanted to do them
- They could involve family members
- They were able to complete most of the activities independently and in one timeframe
- It allowed them to be adaptable and flexible with their learning
- It allowed them to problem solve, use their imagination and think creatively
WELCOME TO 4S - PRE-SERVICE TEACHER
Welcome to Stephanie Talbot who has been working with 4S over the last fortnight. Steph is studying to be a teacher at Monash University. As part of her placement, Steph will continue to work with 4S two days a week this term. Steph has made lovely connections with the students and we are very fortunate to have her as part of our learning journey.
Kind Regards,
Angela and Allira
