How We Express Ourselves

YEAR TWO - TERM 1A, 2021

Transdisciplinary Theme - How We Express Oursleves

 CENTRAL IDEA

Communication is influenced by feelings and emotions

As an International Baccalaureate world school, authorised to teach the Primary Year’s Programme, we explore six transdisciplinary themes each year.

The first unit the Year 2 students will explore focuses on the various ways we communicate and express our ideas and emotions. The students will focus on various emotions and the way they can impact others.

During this term the students will be participating in 'The Resilience Project'. Topics include the exploration of the values of Mindfulness, Gratitude and Empathy. The Resilience Project aims to deliver emotionally engaging programs to schools, providing practical, evidence-based, positive mental health strategies to build resilience and happiness.
