Upstander
Be an Upstander not a Bystander
Did you know?
Peers are present as onlookers in 86% of bullying interactions, and play a central role in the bullying process.

At Fairhills High School our aim is to create an Upstander environment. An Upstander is a person who sees something wrong and acts to make it right. We want to empower the silent majority to become the Upstander majority.
In doing so our Upstanders will:
- have the confidence to stand up to those who bully others
- be able to support others who are being bullied or harassed
Bullying Response Process
The school will also implement the following process to ensure:
- consistency of practice
- natural justice/student voice
- the appropriate responses are implemented to prevent further bullying
