PACE
Resilient Families
Resilient Families is a program designed to strengthen families and family management in the community. The program was initiated at Fairhills High school in 2017 as part of the Communities that Care Knox strategic planning process to improve health and social outcomes for young people in Knox.
The key components, the social and emotional wellbeing curriculum for Year 7 students and the PACE program for parents of Year 7 students, are designed to strengthen protective factors such as social skills and family attachment and address the risk factors such as parental attitudes that are favourable to substance use and poor family management that contribute to anti social behaviour in adolescents.
Registration for the Resilient Families PACE eight week workshop at Fairhills High school (Term Two) in 2021 can be made by contacting Karen Dean on 9758 5022 or email
