Principal's News

Dear Families,

This week our Prep students began attending school full time after what seems to be a very quick transition into school. If you were able to observe how confidently these children have established themselves into the routine of school you would truly be amazed. Of course much credit must go to our amazing Junior School teachers who have provided such a wonderful first few weeks for these children. Their learning is also developing quickly and yesterday when I spoke with a few of them they were also so excited about their learning journey.

SPORT VOUCHERS FOR FAMILIES

Some of our families may qualify for a $200 Sports Voucher from the Victorian government, “Get Active Kids” program to help with expenses involved in children’s sport. Categories include sporting activities, uniforms and equipment.

Applications for vouchers in round one close on 11 April 2021.

Please check out the link at getactive.vic.gov.au/vouchers to see if you qualify and to apply.

Communication

Thank you to all those who completed the online survey regarding our communication between home and school. So far it appears that for most people the newsletter and email are by far the best form of communication. We appreciate the feedback regarding the timeliness of announcements and will endeavour to make sure we improve in that area, so that families have adequate notice in relation to meetings and other school events.

If you did not have a chance to complete the survey and add your comments you can still do so by using the link below.

School Improvement

As I highlighted last week, following or school review in 2020, a number of important recommendations were made to ensure Trinity Primary School continues to provide an excellent education and learning environment for all our children. Our Leadership Team and School Staff will continue to work on our School Improvement Plan with a focus on the following 3 key priority areas:

  • Developing high-impact instructional         leadership
  • Improving student learning outcomes
  • Enabling staff, student and parent voice to guide thinking and practice

Throughout the year we will endeavour to provide opportunities for our students and parents to have input into our whole school improvement process as it is important that all voices at Trinity are heard.

Shortly we will be sending out a Google form so that parents, students and staff can give their thoughts in regard to the values we believe are most important to us as a community at Trinity.

It would be great if as many of you as possible are able to complete this form when it is sent.

Trinity Clubs

I am truly amazed at the number and quality of clubs available to the children at Trinity. I doubt there are many schools who manage such a broad range of activities for children during snack and lunch times. Much thanks must go to our generous staff of teachers, LSO's and admin who organize and supervise these activities.

Kind Regards

Mr Nigel Rodrigues
