Religious Education 2/3UR 

This week in 2/3 UR the students learnt all about Lent. They discussed the traditions and meaning behind this important time in the Catholic calendar. The students listened to stories about Jesus who fasted for 40 days in the desert and about the sacrifices he made during this time. Students also discussed what actions they could do during Lent that would help others. Many students listed ways they could help their family and friends or make donations to help those who were less fortunate. Students also wrote about one thing that they could work on to improve during Lent. Many chose to give up arguing with their friends and being more aware of the words they were saying to each other. The students learnt that during Lent it is a great time to reflect on their actions and think about how they can help others.
