Continuation of Instrumental Lessons for 2018

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We trust that your daughter has enjoyed being a part of the Instrumental Music

 program at MGC. Apart from undertaking weekly lessons, students have the

opportunity to be involved in our many ensembles and performance evenings.

We thank you for supporting your daughters with their home practice.

Planning for 2018.

Staffing and timetabling is an involved task, so it is necessary for your daughter

 to indicate if she wishes to continue with her music tuition in 2018 to guarantee

 her place.

In order to secure your daughter’s place in the program, we require you to return

the portion below to the General Office with payment methods.

Instrumental Music 

Bring It On - School Musical

It is with much pleasure that MGC announces that our 2018 Musical Production is “Bring It On”.

(Composer: Tom Kitt; Lin Manuel Miranda. Lyricist: Amanda Green; Lin Manuel Miranda. Book by Jeff Whitty) in conjunction with Hal Leonard Australia.

When? There will be 6 evening performances at MGC from 7.30pm on the following dates:

Wednesday 8th, Thursday 9th and Friday 10th August. (Term 3, Week 4) and

Wednesday 15th, Thursday 16th and Friday 17th August. (Term 3, Week 5)

Missed Friday’s lunchtime information session?

Expression of interest forms can be located outside the music room. You can return your completed form there too.

We have begun familiarizing students with the audition song/s and characters. If you are unable to make your allocated session, then come along to another. Audition tracks can be found on Compass under School Resources/Miscellaneous/Bring It On.

Auditions begin in Week 5. All students who audition will be accommodated-no one misses out!

Rehearsals will begin in Term 2, Tuesdays and/or Thursdays afterschool, depending on which chorus you are allocated.
