Compassion Walk 2017

On Thursday 23rd March, students from K-10 participated in the Compassion Walk. Each student placed their flower in the Compassion Garden and completed the activities designed to inspire compassion and empathy in our students. The secondary students created skits that demonstrated how we can display compassion on a day to day basis. They also discussed as a cohort, what was the best way to show compassion, for example, giving a homeless person a dollar is less effective than giving them accommodation or helping them to get back on their feet. All students demonstrated the 2017 theme of Caritas which is Love Thy Neighbour. St Philomena's School raised $1464 for Project Compassion.
