Middle School Report  

Welcome back to all Middle School students, family and teachers. We hope that in spite of the current situation, you all managed to enjoy your Easter holidays and are making the most of the chance to spend quality time together as a family.

As you are aware, teaching and learning will look different this term but this is an exciting time for all of us to embrace the challenges of a new way of doing things, and learn from each other. Year 9 and 10 students are already engaging really well in their online classes and working diligently to complete learning tasks. Although there have been changes to the planned events this term, we are confident that students remain connected to each other and the school albeit in a remote way.

Students are in regular contact with their Year Level Coordinators via email, online classes and phone calls. It has been really lovely to hear their success stories and have a chat with them about how they are managing at home. Year Level Coordinators are happy to speak to students on the phone during usual working hours if a student emails and requests contact be made.

The Peer Mentors and Class Captains will be working with Mr Brendan McFarland, Ms Ashwini Mana Mohan and Mr Matthew Olthof in the next few weeks to gather feedback from students on their experiences with online learning.

We wish you all the best for the weeks ahead and thank you for your support and communication with the sub school. Even though we are not working from the Middle Sub School Office we are able to receive voicemails left for us should you need to get in touch.
