Learning Remotely
While students learning remotely has been challenging, it had been wonderful to hear about the successes. Student attendance and engagement has been high, and staff and students have worked together to make the technology work as well as possible.
As parents and guardians there are things that you can to do to support your child’s learning.
These include:
- as much as possible provide a quiet place for them to work
- encourage them to be on time and ready to learn for all classes
- encourage them to have a break from their screens between classes
- ask if they have any work not handed in

If there are any issues with devices, or internet access please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Year 12
You would have seen the update from Ms Bekiaris providing information from VCAA.
It is important that parents and students understand the importance of student’s work being their own. Students will need to sign a declaration when they return to school that all on line SACs were completed without any assistance.
Other important information released so far is that the GAT has been put back to October/November, exams will be held in December, and that Unit 4 Study Designs have been modified. These are all now available on the VCAA website.
Progress Reports
Progress reports for Years 7 to 11 will be available on compass in Week 6, while Year Progress Rep[orts will be published in Week 8. We encourage parents to read through these reports and speak to your children about how they are going. Coordinators will still make contact where there are a number of concerns.
Exams and Semester Tests
These will continue as scheduled, although they will be delivered remotely. The length and content in the exams has been modified to reflect the current situation.
Year 10 Work Experience
Work experience has been cancelled for this year. Semester 2 subjects will commence at the start of Week 10.
Semester Reports
The timeline for Semester reports is unchanged. They wil be available on compass in Week 11.
