Alumni

Given that the main focus of this program was to invite our alumni back on-campus to inspire and motivate our students through interactive sessions, we've had to think outside the box a little in order to maintain our primary objective; to motivate and inspire. It has been both challenging and exciting as our program moves into the virtual realm, and I'm happy to report that the response has been overwhelmingly positive among our alumni community. An unexpected bonus of this crisis is that our connectivity to those living interstate or abroad has increased and opened a plethora of means by which we can include them in our program. With alumni now making their own introductory videos, taking part in Zoom interviews, and soon to be taking part in live stream Q&A's, we are feeling more connected, motivated and inspired than ever! Danny Lysaght (2003) was one of the first alumni to reach out and offer support for the program. He is in the process of making us an introductory video, and his Then and Now poster was featured across our socials this week.

When I was younger I wanted to be a P.E. teacher. In Secondary school I was into sports (P.E. & enjoyed local/AFL Football) I was a standard student who persisted & tried my best at anything that was in front of me.

Currently I am a Technical Services Lead (Team Manager) in Telstra.  I do construction, technical, and PC work.  I look after staff workloads, OHS, Vehicles, Audits, compliance, & delivering projects in a timely manner.  I did a Traineeship in Network Design & Construction, Telecommunications Certificates at TAFE, and I've completed a Diploma in Project Management.

In the future I hope to continue doing what I’m doing. I’ve worked full time since High school. This work requires a lot of leadership, development, attending & chairing meetings, and maintaining performance.
