Armidale Diocesan Rugby Trials

Our Primary Rugby Team participated at the Armidale Diocesan Rugby Trials and Knockout Competition in Tamworth. The boys competed against Holy Trinity Inverell, St Francis Xavier's Narrabri and St Xavier's Gunnedah. The boys played extremely well placing second in their pool, beating Holy Trinity and Gunnedah and narrowly going down to Narrabri. 

Tom Barnes, Lachlan Maslin, Gilbert Tighe, Max Fernance and Will Stevenson were all selected in the Armidale Team. They will now travel to Forbes to compete at the Polding Trials on the 1st of July.  Well done to all of our players and we wish our Armidale representatives all the best at the Polding Trials. 

St Philomena's Athletics Carnival

Last Tuesday our students participated at the K-10 Athletics Carnival at Boughton Oval. It was a fantastic day with lots of great sportsmanship on display. The following students were rewarded with a fantastic day of competition and were announced Age Champion and Runner Up for their age groups.

The overall champion house was the Mighty Mercy. Next term our school athletics team will travel to Tamworth to compete at the Armidale Diocesan Athletics Carnival. A big thank you to everyone who assisted in the smooth running of our carnival.
