World Challenge

World Challenge

As the school year comes to a close, a small group of students at Staughton College are preparing for an event that they have been planning for almost two years; their World Challenge Expedition to Thailand and Laos.

Just after midnight on November 27th, Riley Mepstead, Abigail Apro, Leilani Justice, Tyler Rogers and Jacob Smart will join six other students from Sale College, along with supervising teachers and World Challenge Leaders, to travel to Asia on a 22-day adventure that will see them participate in a variety of events.

The World Challenge Expedition is a program for students to embark on an amazing journey of self-discovery learning life skills that will prepare them for adulthood and the world beyond Melton. Students will develop resilience, global perspective, confidence, leadership and responsibility.  By planning their own itinerary and travelling overseas, volunteering in a developing community and trekking through challenging terrain, students come back with a different perspective on life as they ‘knew’ it.

We wish the challengers all the best on their trip and look forward to them sharing the experiences they have had when they return to Staughton College in 2018!
