PHYSICAL EDUCATION

This week has been a big week to prepare for the District Cross Country on Tuesday 25th of May. Each class from years 3 to 6 participated in a lesson of cross country trials which entailed either 4 or 6 laps of a course around the school.

While not everyone may have fortunately made the team this year I was incredibly impressed with the 'give it a go' attitude from all the students, whether they liked running or not. I told all of the students that either way this was a lesson of mental toughness and endurance and setting goals for oneself to look back on next year and see how far they may have come.

Students that did make the team will have received 2 notices this week, one informing them of the event they are in, showing the district cross country course map and inviting them to head along to the marathon club if they want some extra training on a Wednesday. The second, a permission form for the day.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.
