Hi St James Families!

We hope everybody had a great Mother’s Day yesterday and enjoyed the sunshine!

It has been a busy week for the P&F but with the support of many volunteers all has run smoothly and there are LOTS of people to thank!

It's great to see the kids being able to enjoy simple events and activities that we possibly took for granted until last year!

DISCO BINGO PARENT NIGHT

Saturday 5 June

It's only 4 weeks to go until our biggest parent event of the year! We already have many tickets sold and look forward to many more as we celebrate for the first time in a long time as a whole community! Dress up in your best disco gear or just a touch of disco and get ready for a night of music trivia, games, prizes, online auction, bingo and lots of fun!

WHEN - SATURDAY 5 JUNE 6:30pm to 10:30pm

WHERE - THE ST JAMES COMMUNITY CENTRE

FOOD PROVIDED - It's delicious Indian Fare! Starters, Mains and Dessert from Yo India

DRINKS/SNACKS - Soft drink and Juices provided plus simple snacks

WHAT TO BRING -

BYO Alcohol and any preferred snacks.

Your best Disco gear and dancing shoes.
A cheery smile, plenty of energy and lots of laughter!

Hopefully you will have received a hard copy invite in your child's bag last week. Attached is an updated version with details about food provided as well as the Table Booking sheet. You can also email your table lists to pandf@sjvermont.catholic.edu.au Remember you can ask to be placed on a table also.

Junita Yeung, Emma Lovick and Clementine Kohambanwickremage, the Grade 2 Champions, have been working very hard to finalise details. Thank you ladies for all your work!

Auction Donations

The Sponsorship and Donations team are seeking donations of prizes for an online silent auction which will be run in conjunction with out Major Parent Social Night. Do you have a business or contacts with a business who would like to support our school and at the same time advertise their business or products? Do you have new, unwanted items at home that may be a treasure for someone else? If so consider donating to support our school. The auction will run online prior to the event and then end at the end of the night. Products and advertising of supporting businesses will be on display on the night but all bids made online! Please contact Jason Barrie at JBarrie@atlasbroker.com.au or Rachel Williams (Sponsorship and Donations Team) or one of the P&F Team Leaders if you or anyone you know who may be interested in this opportunity to donate or support our school.

MOTHERS DAY STALL THANKS!

The Mother's Day Stall was back this year and what a great success it was. A HUGE thank you to Cate Pigeault and Jess Savoia for all your hard work in sourcing some really lovely gifts for the kids to choose for their mums and running the stall last Thursday. We all appreciate it very much! Thanks to Catherine Nicholas, Junita Yeung, Natasha Den Elzen and Sarah Vogels for helping on the stall too. We hope you were all able to avoid seeing what your child selected and all the mums enjoyed the special gifts yesterday!!

FOOD DAY THANKS!

A very big thanks to the parents who assisted so efficiently with last Thursday's Pies Food Day. It was a definite hit with Crumbles Bakery in Heathmont providing the yummiest pies this side of the city! Thanks to Penny Conduit, Emma Lovick, Michelle Holmes, Dustin Archer, Paul Cleary, Ange Bruni, Amanda Nedza, Mary Brockhoff, Deborah Vukic and Sheleigh Keating for helping Kylie feed the masses!

The next Food Day will be Friday 4 June.

GRANDPARENT'S DAY THANKS

While technically a school event and not a P&F event we put the call out for helpers and would like to thank the following people who helped at what we hear was the very busy "Nonna's Cafe" on Friday Morning. AUSKICK TUCKSHOP

Just one call out for volunteers this week but one a little difficult to fill! If you are an Auskick parent can you help out with the Auskick Tuckshop just once or twice for the season? Keep a look out for a big thanks to some amazing parents who ran our Bunning’s Fundraiser BBQ on Saturday. An awesome effort and great result.
