Greater Western Regional Lawn Bowls Championships

Congratulations to both teams who participated in the Greater Western Regional Lawn Bowls Championships in Ararat last week. We certainly learnt a lot about the game. Sacred Heart A team just got over the line and will now travel to Deer Park in Melbourne to play in the State Bowls Championships on Wednesday 28th April. A big thank you to Monika Hammond and Sharon Kelly for all their help on the day.

Football Clinics

Thanks to our past students Dylan Slater and Darcy Moloney for offering our children in Year levels  2 and 5 a football clinic last week. It was great to see the children participating and learning the many skills of football. 

Greater Western Swimming Championships

Congratulations to Toby Barren who swam personal bests at the Greater Western Swimming Championships last Friday in Horsham. A fantastic effort Toby.

Golf Coaching Sessions

Our Year 5 and 6 classes had their first golf lessons last Thursday with Hayden Garner. They will have their second lesson this Thursday, 25th March. Children will need to wear their sports uniform and bring along their drink bottle. The Colac Primary Schools Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday 20th May at the Colac Golf Club.

Primary Schools Netball Carnival

A big thank you to Maddie Okely and her team for the fantastic netball clinic last Friday. It was great to see all the children ‘having a go’. There were lots of great games and skills for everyone to enjoy.

Colac Division Athletics

The Sacred Heart Athletics Team has been selected for 2021 and will compete against the other local schools at the Colac Division Athletics this Friday 26th March. This will take place at the Central Reserve commencing at 9.30am and finishing at 2.45pm. Let’s hope the weather is okay.

Trinity College have a closure day, so if you have a student who could come and help with field events on the day, we would appreciate it greatly. The field events run from 10.30am – 1.30pm.

IMPORTANT – Change of Date for our Sacred Heart Junior Athletics (Prep-2)

Unfortunately we have had to change the date for our Sacred Heart Junior Athletics for all students from Prep to Year 2. The new date will be Tuesday 30th March. Apologies for any inconvenience. This will take place at Sacred Heart between recess and lunch. Children will need to wear their sports uniform and bring their water bottle.

Friday 26th March – Colac Division Athletics

Tuesday 30th March – Sacred Heart Junior Athletics (Prep-2) (Date Change)
