A Message from School Council

School President’s Report

Hello Everyone,

The school council is very much in planning mode for 2021. We are hoping that next year returns to normal for everyone! During November the council endorsed the 2021 annual budget. I’m pleased to report that the school remains in a strong financial position even though Covid impacted many of our 2020 fundraising activities. At the upcoming council meeting we will be reviewing the school’s 2021 Annual Implementation Plan (AIP). This is a detailed plan encompassing actions, roles, responsibilities, timelines and success criteria for the next 12 months, leading to the achievement of the four-year strategy.

Thank-you to the 93 families who completed the recent Parent Opinion Survey. This feedback provides important information to help drive continued improvement for our school community. Reviewing the survey results will be a priority for council and will feed into our 2021 planning.

A number of parents have raised the issue of mosquitos on the school yard. We discussed this issue at our most recent meeting. The school has contacted our pest control supplier to investigate what can be done and we will update the school community in the coming weeks.

A reminder that our sub committees are open to the school community.  If you would like join in 2021 or find out more about them, please feel free to reach out to David or myself.
