Covid 19 Q and A

COVID 19 Q&A with Kylie Carville - Monday the 9th of November @ 7:00

"What a year...

Are you so fed up the next time someone says 'coronavirus' you're going to scream? or do you still have questions and concerns as the pandemic barrels on? Kylie Carville is here to help with the latter!

Kylie is a parent at NPS and an infectious disease Epidemiologist. Kylie will be leading a Q and A session for the school community over Microsoft Teams on Monday, November the 9th at 7:00.

Kyile has a Master of Applied Epidemiology, which is Australia's version of the US CDCs Epidemic Intelligence Service (think Contagion with Kate Winslet, only more the earlier bits and not the dramatic bit towards the end!). Kylie has been working on and learning about all things COVID-19 for most of the year.

Why face masks (and not shields)? Why are people more concerned about parents than kids around schools? What is contact tracing, and why wasn't it working? and why are there still new cases if it's working now? What is the R-value? What are fomites and what's a superspreader?

Kylie has kindly given up her time to answer all your COVID-19 questions, provide an insight into the medical COVID-19 world, and tell you the names of professionals worth paying attention to!.
