Information and Communications Technology

ICT is an integral part of the Victorian curriculum.

At Black Rock we will continue to use the iPad program in Year 5. Our ‘iPad program’ is about:

• Creating a 21st century learning environment that engages students.
• Safely and effectively manage an online identity through collaborative and closed learning spaces.
• Using available digital solutions to develop skills and to demonstrate existing and new knowledge.
• How to use ICT tools to create, produce and communicate.

We strongly recommend that students do not have social media accounts such as Facebook or Instagram. Any students who do, should not have access to these Apps on their iPad.
