Safe Plate Day

On Saturday the 26th of October, the Crime Prevention Leadership Team along with Victoria Police, Neighbourhood Watch and Beaumaris Rotary held a highly successful Safe Plate Day for our community. Despite the weather, we had a large number of people come down to support our event by buying raffle tickets, purchasing baked goods and sausages, participating in the games and getting anti-theft screws installed on to their number plates. It was great to see students get their bikes engraved to prevent the loss of their bikes.

This event would not have been successful if it weren’t for the following sponsors from our local community:

A special thanks to Lisa Dobbie and Chris Dawson from Victoria Police for supporting us with the preparation and helping us gain a stronger understanding of bike safety. A big thank you to the school staff and parents for helping us on the day. An extra special thank you to Mia Ragas-Judd for entertaining the crowd with her amazing vocal talent.

Currently we have raised approximately $1,000 and hope to raise more! Raffle tickets will be available for purchase until Friday the 1st of November. Anyone interested in purchasing raffle tickets may do so through the front office or by phoning the school on 8569 9200. Prizes will be drawn on Friday afternoon. Raffle tickets cost $5 each, x3 tickets for $10 or x7 tickets for $20.
