Class of 2017

The press is loaded with ATAR results, and amongst the mix are a number of Cornerstone students.

Alex Hoffman, who holds an ATAR of 98.35 has earnt a Certificate of Distinction. Matthew Haagensen is also the proud owner of a Certificate of Distinction, and he and Mart van der Veen have ATARs of over 97.

Amongst the high achievers are Mart van der Veen, Kyle Huizenga and Sam Fokkema, who all have been honoured with Certficates of Merit. This is a great result for the College, as only 8 students from Cornerstone were part of the ATAR cohort.

Also noted within the West Australian last December, was Justine Schoof, who was the winner of the Excellence in VET award for Cornerstone.

Congratulations to all students and staff on such wonderful results. We are delighted for you all.

Soccer Stars in Character and Excellence

We have had some great outcomes for students in the soccer realm, and at the end of last year, several were acknowledged regionally.

The awards are from Football Federation South West, and were presented to several of our students at the Presentation Awards afternoon at the end of Term 4. The trophies were for ‘Talent and Effort 2017’, for each of their squads.

Congratulations to Noah Sykes, Alesia Riches and Noah Beddingfield on recognition in these areas.

Regional Champion at Summer Series

A number of our students (as well as a staff member) have taken part in the inter-club Summer Series in mountain biking.  Congratulations to Jayden Fraser in being crowned the Under 18's champion for the region at a Presentation Night last week.  Well done to all who participated.  Details can be found here:

Inspiring Teachers

You may have seen that one of our former students, Ebony Haythornthwaite, was interviewed by the Busselton Mail on teachers who influenced her.  It's a great article, and even audio interview, that's worth taking the time to see.

See who she credits for her success!
