Parishioners are invited to bring a small plate of morning tea to share. Our Duty Roster person is Mary Elliott. Friends of St Augustine 2019
The first gathering of this group will be held on Thursday, 28th February 2019. It will be a dinner meeting beginning at 6.00pm at 6 Julia Street, Kyabram. Everyone is welcome to attend as this group is open to all parishioners. This year in Phase 3 we will be reflecting on the Psalms–numbers 4, 32, 139 and 148. There are 150 psalms and many other psalms could be included.
We have four meetings to reflect on these as well as a few social gatherings throughout the year.
For any further information or questions please contact Ruth McGowan (5859 0359) or the Parish Office on Wednesdays.
2019 Harvest Mass
SUNDAY 10th MARCH 2019
Jesus and his people celebrated the 'Feast of Ingathering' or 'the 'Feast of Tabernacles.' People shared from their harvest, and goods were collected for the poor.
St. Augustine’s Parish will celebrate the harvest with the same sense of joy and sharing on Sunday 10th March.
We invite all farmers, crops growers, orchardists, winegrowers, gardeners and cooks, to bring something from their produce on that day –vegetables, fruit, grain, dairy products, meat, preserves, herbs, hay, wool and even plants and flowers – for the produce swapping table. Let us also share abundance with those in need; we encourage people to bring a non-perishable item in a can, jar or packet, of something produced in our area (example brands: SPC-Ardmona, Unilever, Tatura Milk Industries, Campbells, Murray Goulburn, Casalare Pastas, Fonterra, Nestle, Heinz, etc.). On the day, donors can bring these items in the entry procession for the St. Vincent de Paul Society baskets.
We ask people to bring a plate to share during brunch to follow Mass, so the Care group ladies can have a rest.

World Day of Prayer
World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement led by Christian women who welcome you to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. This year's service has been written by Slovenian women. The theme they have chosen is: “Come–everything is ready.” The content is taken from Luke’s Gospel (Lk 14:15-24) in which he talks about the master inviting others to his feast. St Augustine’s Parish is hoping for a good representation of women and men to come to this feast.
Friday 1st March at 10.00am at the Kyabram Baptist Church, Fenaughty Street. Please feel welcome to come and bring someone else along.
