Refugee Week Activities
We are celebrating Refugee Week next week at Trinity College. There will be some special things happening to remind you all about 'Healing- The Way Forward', which is the theme for 2022.
Healing gives us the compassion of the community, mutual care, and the ability to start again.
We need to work together to survive, let alone to thrive and progress. Let’s take the opportunity to start afresh and rebuild our lives together. To count our blessings and to put them to work. Working together the powerful potential of Healing is explored.
Students and staff are invited to come and visit the Rice area at lunch break on Tuesday to share the activity of creating a healing image and pasting it onto our board with the word HEALING. This board will be displayed in the Jubilee Centre representing our cultural inclusion within our school and local parish community of St Mary's Colac.
This year we are asking you to help build a stronger Trinity community during Refugee Week and we are having a cultural food day on Wednesday the 22nd of June starting at 11.05 - first break. Future Café food will be available to purchase for lunch recognising various cultural tastes.
We will be having special prayers each day on the daily bulletin, and sharing the 'Marching Free' song by the Red Violets- Jill O'Dowd and Claire Foley, over the loudspeakers each break.
We call for the spirit of healing as we recover from the isolation we have all experienced during COVID last year.
Come and celebrate… together we make a difference.
