Preps

In Numeracy, the Prep students have been investigating sharing. They have been learning what sharing is, the vocabulary associated with sharing such as equal, and they have been learning the importance of sharing one at a time using the strategy of ‘one for you’, ‘one for me’. 

They have been using these skills to model practical situations where sharing might be needed. They had so much fun sharing the Skittles between two biscuits (to represent sharing between themselves and a friend). 

The best bit, they got to eat their biscuits in the end with some students even sharing their biscuits equally with a sibling!
