Careers

Selected VCAL students have recently completed a 5 day Job Camp program that was organised by the Careers Team. Students gained valuable employability skills and 90 hours credit towards their VCAL qualification by completing the following certificates:

• Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety
• Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol
• Prepare & Serve Espresso Coffee
• Prepare & Serve Non Alcoholic Beverages
• First Aid

VET Public Safety is another program that is being organised for selected VCAL students. Students will attend classes every Wednesday in Term 3. Students are reminded to return their consent forms before the end of term to confirm their participation in this program.

Year 11 Work Experience

Melton SC would like to thank local employers who hosted our students for the Year  11 VCAL Work Experience program for 1 week in June. These opportunities provide our students with valuable work history that will assist with employment pathways in the future. 

The Year 9 Morrisby Program will continue in Term 3. This external career counselling service will provide students with suggested Careers information that will assist them with Year 10 subject selection.
