Principal's Report

Dear Collingwood College,

We are almost coming to the end of what seems like a whirlwind of a semester. If I were a politician, this is where I would say it has been an “unprecedented year so far” and in some ways, this is still very true. But with each hurdle we have faced, we have built on our abilities as a school community to be flexible, resilient, creative and adaptable.

Throughout the semester, we have been able to run some rewarding school events, including camps, plays and performances that have been off the table in recent times.   As our teachers are finalising end of semester school reports, we are reminded of the vast improvement our children are making in a context that is both social and emotional, as well as academic.

I wish you all a fantastic break.  Please enjoy the extra time with your loved ones.

The shortest day of the year is behind us (as celebrated as part of our Solstice Festival this week) and I am excited for what will be ahead of us in the second half of the year.

Regards,

Sam Luck
