SACA Girls Cricket Clinic

The SACA Girls Cricket Clinic was a fun way for Year 5/6 girls to try cricket and give it a go. The drills were really fun and the games were AMAZING! Some of the drills and games that we played were challenging and required us to use our brains.

Some of the drills were throwing drills, building drills, batting drills, bowling drills and fielding drills. They were so fun!

Another thing to add is that the equipment was plastic and rubber so it felt safe. The coaches, Payne & Laura, were really nice and responsible coaches and they obviously loved cricket.

Lacrosse Clinic

We were fortunate to receive a Sporting Schools grant for our primary classes to participate in Lacrosse clinics this term. GPS have participated in these clinics over the past 2 years in preparation for the SAPSASA Lacrosse Carnival. Our teams have been very successful at these carnivals as a result of the preparation they receive during these clinics. This year, we are taking 12 teams to the carnival which will be held next Thursday. We look forward to sharing with you how they go in the next newsletter.

The Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 students had 4 Lacrosse clinics this term. The people who ran the clinics were Chris & Marilyn. They were very kind to us. They spoke very clear and were very helpful when we struggled to throw. The Lacrosse Carnival is on next Thursday and Greenwith have a lot of teams going. We are looking forward to participating in this event.
