GLEE CLUB & CHOIR
This year promises to be one of the biggest and best for our performing arts students with opportunities across all grades in various capacities. There are many exciting projects on the horizon so keep checking back here for the latest news!
2023 Senior and Junior Glee Club
Senior and Junior Glee Club is back in action this year and we have many opportunities to look forward to. This year we have been lucky enough to obtain industry expertise and have sourced professional dancer and choreographer Amber O'Connell, from DanceChora, to design a fabulous routine for the girls in the SCS's Dance Eisteddfod. Amber will come on-site and teach the choreography and Miss Buxton will rehearse the girls in between her visits. Ms McInness will also be taking a Dance Eisteddfod group on board with her many years of experience as a Creative and Performing Arts teacher.
All students in the Senior Glee Club will be part of the ensemble and due to the large amount of participants in the Junior Glee Club, we have held auditions to create a smaller Junior Dance team. Outside of eisteddfod rehearsals, Junior Glee members will get an extra lunch-time session to continue developing their singing, dancing and acting skills with Miss Buxton. It is always so much fun and we can't wait to showcase it all to you!
2023 Choir
We are so excited to showcase the amazing singing and dancing talents of our students here at St. Anthony's in this year's SCS Eisteddfod Dance and Vocal Ensemble competition. Once again the Choir and Glee Club students will be collaborating in the vocal category to produce a unique performance. Last year we received a Highly Commended award and everyone had such a fun time. Here's to even greater success in 2023!
