Meet Maddy
My name is Maddy and I’m a Speech Pathologist with the Department of Education. I will be working at Rockhampton North Special School each Monday this year. I have previously worked in the Mackay region and have always called CQ home. I am looking forward to getting to know our school team, students and school community this term.

Farewell
Last week we farewelled one of our wonderful EAs, Janita, who has been a part of the RNSS community since '98. Janita will be greatly missed by everyone at the school. We wish you all the best for your retirement.
Brett has been a long-standing teacher at RNSS and has been part of influencing the lives of so many staff, students and families.
Brett has moved to North Rockhampton SHS to take up a teaching position there.
Thank you, Brett, for the impact you made over the past 22 years at our school!

Invitations to register have been sent home. If you have any questions or issues, please contact Emily on 4999 0222 or esaun0@eq.edu.au (Wednesday - Friday)
Once registered, parents will have their children’s student information at their fingertips. (including absences, froms & invoices).

Construction Update
The new general learning space is coming together. The ground slab has been poured and they are halfway through the first-floor blockwork.
Free Dental Treatment for RNSS Students
CQ Health is offering full dental treatment to the students currently enrolled at your school up to and including Year 10, commencing January 2023. This service will be provided by the Frenchville School Dental Clinic located on Frenchville Road, Frenchville 4701.
Oral Health Therapist, Tom Hamilton will be the health professional on site. Please direct any enquiries to the school dental administrative team on 4920 7556 / 4920 6372 or Liza Pretorius on 4920 7553 during business hours.
Good oral health is an important part of healthy living, and we appreciate your cooperation and welcome any questions you may have regarding our service.
Parents will be responsible for ensuring their child/children attend at the agreed appointment times.
Please note: Due to the access at the Frenchville School Dental clinic, any students who have wheelchairs will be booked for an appointment at the Rockhampton Community Dental Clinic.
