Upper Primary 1

Hello and welcome to Upper Primary 1. 

In English this semester we are exploring persuasive language found in a range of texts including picture books, online and paper advertisements and takeaway food packaging.  We aim to use this persuasive language when we create our very own products, packaging and posters in the hopes to persuade others that our creations are the best. 

In HASS we are learning about the celebrations we and those around us celebrate each calendar year. Birthdays were first on the list, and we all enjoyed playing party games and writing about what we would like as a present.  

Our Maths learning sees us demonstrating many numeracy skills both individually and with our classmates, having lots of fun along the way. These skills include place value, location, graphing, addition, subtraction, time and fractions. 

Keeping healthy and safe in our classroom, school, home and in our community are areas we are discussing and demonstrating in HPE.  We are enjoying participating in games with and without equipment, basic movement skills and competing as a team.
