Principal's Report

Dear all families,

Thank you to all of our families who attended our ‘Meet and Greet’ teacher day held last Wednesday. The day was a great opportunity to enhance the communication between home and school. If you were unable to meet your child’s teacher, please arrange for a time to meet with the teacher before or after school. 

We invite families to our Annual General Meeting of the P&C on the 30th of March at 9:00. The meeting will be held in our schools meeting room. Please note that all of our P&C Meeting Minutes can be located on our school's website. 

We sadly said goodbye to Janita Neal, who has been a long-standing staff member of our school. Janita is looking forward to spending lots of carefree days with her family. Thank you Janita for all the care and compassion you have showed our staff, students and families over the past 24 years. You will be missed! Additionally, we are also very proud of Brett Davey who obtained a teacher position at North Rockhampton State High School. Brett has been a long-standing member of our staff and has been part of influencing the lives of so many staff, students and families. Thank you Brett for the impact you made over the past 22 years. We are sad to see Brett go but fully support his influence in a mainstream setting. Teachers obtaining teaching positions in mainstream settings is testament of all the great work that is happening in our school in terms of teaching and learning. 

Our school values of CARE, COURAGE and COOPERATION, is at the forefront of everything we do. Please continue to demonstrate our school values towards yourself and others. At the start of the year, we developed whole school expectations and aligned these to our WAYS OF WORKING. 

Our breakfast program on Mondays and Tuesday have seen huge successes with many students lining up for a ‘Breakfast Sandwich’. Thank you to our Chaplain, Jayden, for sourcing food supplies and for managing the program.
