Student Wellbeing

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS)

Since the beginning of the term the teachers have been working with the children about what ‘Be Safe, Be Friendly and Be a Learner’ looks like at St Monica’s. We have also been working on how we greet others and using a person’s name when greeting them. Our focus over the next fortnight is Keeping our hands to self. Teachers will be discussing this focus with the children and encouraging appropriate options for gaining attention and playing with peers. It would be great if these messages could be reinforced at home.

Volunteer Induction

If you are wanting to volunteer throughout the year for such things as sporting events, camps, excursions, netball/football club, canteen, P&F etc a mandatory volunteer induction needs to be completed.

There are induction sessions being held in the school library on:

Tuesday 7th March at 3.00pm

Tuesday 7th March at 5.00pm

Thursday 9th March at 9.15am

These will take approximately 30 minutes. If you are unable to attend one of these times please make contact with Max Lamb and arrange an alternative time to complete this with him.

For those that have attended a session previously you do not need to attend again however the paperwork must be completed annually. Please collect this from the front office.

Cybersafety for Grade 5 & 6  students and parents– Wednesday 22nd March 6-7pm

All Grade 5 & 6 parents and children are invited to attend a Cybersafety session to be held on Wednesday 22nd March from 6-7pm at St Monica’s.
