Tractor and Driver Training

This week Mr Olde and I have been familiarising new Year 11 and all Year 10 students with the various College tractors. We also took the opportunity to carry out practical driving assessments for students who are over 15 years of age.   The students are to be commended for their efforts in the hot and humid conditions. They remained engaged and willing for the entire day.  I would like to thank Mr Campion, Ms Warden, Ms Ferraro and Mr Cruickshank for their help.

Sheep

Mr Adams commenced the shearing of our terminal ewe mob this week with the Year 12s shearing and wool handling on Tuesday and Farm Focus students on Friday.

Wagin Woolorama Training

I would like to thank Mrs Quilty for arranging to have Mr Andrew Cunningham visit the College Wednesday afternoon to conduct some beef judging training with the students who are attending next week’s Wagin Woolorama.  We are grateful to Mr Cunningham for giving up his time.

Mr Adams commenced wool class training with students after hours who will be competing in events at Wagin.

Wagin Woolarama

We have had some enquires about the event times on the day.  Events will commence at 8.30am and continue throughout the day depending on class sizes.

I would like to remind all students who have nominated to attend Wagin Woolorama that they need to have their parent permission forms back to the College by Tuesday, 7th March. Thank you.
