Trades – Let’s Talk Apprenticeships

Throughout the year a range of private enterprises will attend the College to share and educate the Year 12 students on what roles they perform and their company profile. These companies typically offer apprenticeships through the back end of the year to commence in 2024. Our Year 12 Trades students will have the opportunity to ask questions and be given contact details to pursue their interests. Work placements are often offered and can take place as a private arrangement during school holidays.  Many previous students have gained a much better understanding of what they enjoy and some insight into making informed career decisions through these opportunities.

This week Orontide Engineering Services from Bunbury spoke to our students about what they do and their apprenticeship opportunities in fabrication and fitting which will be advertised later in the year.

This week students have made a solid start on a drop-down fridge drawer for their 4WDS, a new creation from Mr Truss. Students can be seen machining and fabricating the components.
