At the end of Term 4 2022, Oak Flats Public School had a fun and successful PBL Relaunch Day where students participated in activities focused on our core school values: Safe, Respectful, Responsible and Active Learner.

This term we are looking forward to continuing to actively engage our students in not only following PBL values but promoting our values throughout our school. Keep an eye out for our fortnightly newsletters and Facebook posts for the weekly focus.

Our Week 4-5 PBL Focus:

Keeping Hands and Feet to Ourselves

Below are our PBL Expectations which we focus on in the classroom and playground.

Oakie Doakies

We teach our PBL values and the expectations for each area of the school in a lesson each week. Children receive fast and frequent Oakie Doakie tokens for displaying these values. We have an Oakie Doakie raffle at assembly each fortnight, where 5 Oakie Doakies are drawn out and the winners receive a voucher for a free ice block at the canteen. Oakie Doakies contribute to a whole school reward. Children will also receive a white card for showing the PBL values in the classroom and work towards their Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

5 white cards = Bronze, 15 white cards = Silver, 30 white cards = Gold.

We are looking forward to a continued positive start to the year where the whole school community embraces our PBL values.
