Aboriginal Education Committee Parent Meeting
We warmly invite parents, carers and families to attend the first Aboriginal Education Meeting on Wednesday, 1 March 2023 at 4.00pm in the school library. All are welcome to attend. We are looking forward to discussing our goals for Aboriginal Education at Oak Flats Public School in 2023 continuing to strengthen our partnership by working together.
PLP Breakfast
Now that our 2023 school year is underway, we warmly invite our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, parents, carers and families to join us for breakfast, have a yarn and begin the process of creating Personalised Learning Pathways (PLPs).
During our breakfast, teachers will work together with students and families to set English, Mathematics, personal and cultural goals. The goals identified in PLPs will enable teachers to implement strategies to support students to reach their full potential. PLPs will be regularly reviewed with students during the school year, with adjustments made where required, and formally evaluated each term.
The PLP Breakfast will be held in the school library on Wednesday, 1 March 2023 from 8.00am. Letters with this information have been sent home in the mail.
If students, parents or carers are unable to attend, teachers will contact families to arrange an alternative time to meet and develop PLPs.
