Truganini News

This term, the Truganini cluster has worked hard to contribute to our local community.

Last week, we hosted our fundraiser towards Mercy Hospice Care. This organisation was initiated by Father O’Reilly to provide continuous and palliative support for those living in the North Western Suburbs, who are unable to care for themselves in moments of need.

We were also in the midst of Language Week, a week of celebrating the melodious and harmonic linguistics and power of the English and Italian languages.

The College was blessed with apricity (the beautiful warmth sun on a winter’s day) as Truganini volunteers sold out of waffle cones and all tins of choc mint, rainbow and vanilla gelati. Many thanks to not only our volunteers, but to everyone who bought a gelati. All funds will contribute to a worthy cause. This organisation, that is very close to the hearts of many people within our college community, performs such an important function to all in great need in the north-western suburbs.

O’Reilly Shield

Furthermore, we would like to acknowledge the efforts of everyone who contributed in some way or other to the cluster sports. Throughout the myriad of sporting events on show; including athletics, volleyball, european handball and basketball, we have performed admirably and remained undefeated! All our winning and participation points proceed towards the O’Reilly Shield so we ask everyone to continue with their enthusiasm and motivation in helping us reach the leader board once again.

Thank you.
