Success on the national circuit for ballroom dancing continues for one of our students - Kiara Hawkins of Year 9. In her most recent competition in June, Kiara competed in the 2017 Dance Wollongong National Championship. Kiara and her dance partner Christopher competed across three styles, Ballroom, New Vogue and Latin.

Top competitors from all over Australia and New Zealand attend these events. Kiara and Christopher have attained fantastic results of placing 5th in Australia in Open New Vogue and 2nd in her current ranked level.

Dancing since 2012 at Dancexs in Wetherill Park, Kiara's dance teacher is Stefano Olivieri - A two time winner of Dancing with the Stars, a judge on DWTS in New Zealand and a ten time Australian Professional Champion. Training up to 10 hours per week, Kiara enjoys every moment. Dancing has given her the ability to strive for success in competing with competitors her age within Australia and New Zealand.
