YEAR 7 CAMP

YEAR 7 CAMP

I felt very nervous and worried about the camp before we left. I liked the Giant Swing and the Mud Race Challenge. I got to know my friends better on camp.

The values that were important were respect, teamwork, connection and responsibility, they were good for completing challenges.

The camp is very good for challenging yourself and pushing your boundaries.

Before the camp, I was feeling a little worried because I didn't know most of the people in my cabin. It was really exiting, on the other hand, because I got to know more people and do different activities!

The 2 activities that I liked the most were the Giant Swing and the Mud Race Challenge because we showed a lot of teamwork and it was fun in general!

On the camp, I got to know a lot of people and found new friends.  Support, teamwork, courage and trust were the most important values on the camp for me, because that's how a team is; a team with values.  I would say that it was an amazing camp and would definitely recommend it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My feelings about the camp before the camp - I wasn't excited.  I liked the Giant Swing because that was fun and I also liked the Snowy River Challenge because it helped me get to know my team. The camp also gave me the opportunity of getting to know the other people in my cabin.

I think courage and respect are the two values you need for camp because you have to be courageous to do the thrilling activities and you need to respect people's decisions to go lower on the Giant Swing and similar examples.

I would tell other people that the camp is good but there are some activities which we would like to do but didn’t get to.

Before the camp, I felt really nervous because I don’t like mud and I felt really uncomfortable about going through the mud.  To be honest, I really liked the Giant Swing and Snakes and Nails. I liked Snakes and Nails because I had the longest time out of my whole group (2.25 min) standing on the nails! The reason why I liked the Giant Swing was because it is the highest one in Victoria and it floods you with adrenalin as you go down.

The person who I got to know better was Izzy because when I got home from camp, mum told me that we were best friends back in kindergarten. I almost cried when I got home.

I would say to other people about the camp that it's an awesome camp to start moving out of your comfort zone. It's a great bonding experience.

My feelings about going to the camp were fine, because I go on lots of camps with scouts, I rarely get scared about going on camps.

The two activities that I liked the most on the camp were the Monster Course and the Snakes and Nails.  I got to know people in my class better and I learnt some of their strengths and weaknesses.

I think collaboration was important on the camp considering all/most of the activities required teamwork, for example Snowy River Challenge.

I would tell people that it is a great camp to get to know and meet new people.
