Divisional Footy Finals
On Tuesday 17 July, the Level 5&6 school footy team travelled to Clayton to take part in the Divisional Footy Finals. It was a tough day with a howling wind which meant most of the play was held in one third of the ground. After a convincing first up win in our first game it proved to be a bit tougher throughout the remainder of our games with 3 very tight losses. Unfortunately this meant we didn’t make it into the final or onto the next round at Regionals. Some of the highlights included good strong forward marking and leading by Jett and James, energetic ruckwork and around the ground play in the last game by Hayden, strong in and under work by Harley, continual running up and down the wing by Mitch and some resilient defence by Josh W. Max provided plenty of spark and pace off the half forward and Archer was steady and also provided run off the half back flank. Well done to all players for a great attitude and consistent effort across the day in tough conditions. Thank you to the parents who assisted with transport and goal umpiring on the day.
