Principal's Report

And that's a wrap!

2021 - what a year!

Congratulations to all our students and all our families for getting through this tough year!

The resilience shown in 2021 has been amazing.

We wish our grade 6 students all the best as they move onto Secondary School.

I would also like to thank our amazing ACPS Staff for all the work they have done this year.

All our students who missed out on Surf Day have been given a voucher to have a surf lesson at Island Surf, Smiths Beach.

Alannah and Millah have already taken advantage of their  voucher. Alannah wrote up her experience:

"Our own private surf class at Smith’s Beach was amazing! We had 2 hours to learn to surf, stand up and chill in the water! We had so much fun and would love to go there again.  Our instructor was really nice and I loved it when we stood up!  Thanks so much for organising Mrs Thornton! "  By Alannah

The Grade 6 cohort decided that this year they would donate money to Beyond Blue on behalf of our school.

The Des McKenzie Award 2021

The Des McKenzie Award is a commemoration of the contribution that a former Principal of our school, Des McKenzie, made to both the Warrandyte Community and the lives of the many students who worked with him. Des was a Principal who valued responsibility, creativity and a willingness to have a go.

After following a consultation process involving all the staff at ACPS, the recipient of this award is:

                                        Ruby Francis!

Congratulations to Maggie & Emily for being the recipients of the 2021 Natasha Rankin Award.
